Mike & Julie
Ten minutes outside of St. George, Utah, in a beautiful little red rock canyon where Mike and Julie have lived for over 30 years, Mike shapes copper into pieces that echo the depth and dimension of the surrounding desert; Julie crafts stained glass and fuses the colors of the sunsets to accent their designs.
Mike's work has been featured in Phoenix Home & Garden Magazine, Utah Style and Design, St. George Magazine, and the online magazine Copper.org. His work can also be seen in Contemporary Western Design, by Thea Marx, and Desert Style, by Mary Whitesides. He has participated in the Western Design Conference in Cody and Jackson, Wyoming as well as several local venues.
Julie's stained glass can be seen in Trinity Lutheran Church, St. George, Utah, and homes in and around St. George and Salt Lake City. Her fused glass pieces have been purchased locally and nationwide.
Says Julie, "Our studio is nestled in the red rocks of the Southwestern Utah desert. Our work is inspired by the colors, plants and animals the environment provides. We have been blessed with the opportunity to create our artwork in our own studio where we can experiment and explore ideas together."
