I\u00a0had the pleasure of seeing the Compass Rose I had repaired, at home in its intended place.\u00a0I wrote about the piece\u00a0HERE<\/a><\/span>. The globe\u00a0was a gift for a special\u00a0birthday. The glass was shattered in shipping, so I created a template for the rose fom the broken pieces, then reset the compass in the new,\u00a0fused glass base. There was a whole lot of math involved! (Thank God Mike had the tools and formulas I needed.)<\/p>\n

The base of the globe is copper colored and the globe itself is gemstones from around the world. It looks so beautiful in our neighbor’s entryway. One of those repair projects that had me scratching my head, but now that I see it all put together, I’m so glad I was able to do it.<\/p>\n
