She is an art buyer for health care facilities who had purchased a piece similar to this one a couple of years ago. It went to a hospital in Colorado. She told Mike her heart was set on another piece, and he went to work immediately.<\/p>\n<p>The process is much like weaving textile, except copper doesn&#8217;t give in the same way that fibers do. Each piece was planned out and cut to fit, then the project was woven together, reinforced, colored with intense heat, and given a hard wax finish.
