Stained Glass Entry Door Panel<\/h3>\n

Just finished, a\u00a0Stained Glass Entry Door Panel<\/em> with blown glass rondels in blues and greens. The textured clear glass creates\u00a0a subtle and inviting background for these amazing swirls of color and depth.<\/p>\n

Did It<\/p><\/div>\n

This panel was a challenge and a meditation in perseverance, changes and classic design . . . with a tweek.<\/p>\n

Rondel Window<\/p><\/div>\n

Never worked with blown glass in a piece before, and I did end up loving the look. Leaded glass is beautiful and timeless, and opens the door for so many variations on design.<\/p>\n

These are the colors of Springtime; cobalt blue clear skies, fresh shoots of new grass sprouts, and crisp clear texture dancing on nature’s canvas. The shadows of earth and sky converging on the horizon. This panel will grace the entryway of a very Desert Styled home, in the heart of the West. The colors where it lives are red clay and sandstone. This bold display of cool color will soften the harshness of the desert and pop against the surrounding desret.<\/p>\n

This work brought to mind the piece I did for a couple in the Northern part of our High Desert a few years back; still one of my favorites. I think I sweat through each piece with care and concern, and in the end it turned out to be graciously received and definitely one of my favorite works to date.<\/p>\n

In the Garden<\/p><\/div>\n

Glass work is a passion. It’s not for the timid, it shakes my core and soothes my soul. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to keep up with its demands, but I’m sure it will live long in my mind’s eye and stir my creative juices. My hope is that my work will live on past my days, and bring joy to the ones who look through the\u00a0surface and see the light that created it.<\/p>\n
