Three Piece Copper Art<\/p><\/div>\n

This collection includes hammered, woven and corrugated copper pieces. The textures and patinas make\u00a0each one bold enough to\u00a0stand on its own. Hung together the artwork\u00a0makes a cohesive design.<\/p>\n

The copper for each section was re-purposed from a previous artwork of Mike’s. The hammered piece came from\u00a0a built in\u00a0dining table \u00a0made years ago.<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0The<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>corrugated was<\/span> salvaged from the\u00a0boneyard<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>and the weaving was worked with a group similar to those\u00a0you can find in our shop. Three Piece Metal Art\u00a0for Conversation<\/h3>\n

Combining the colors and textures of copper and steel is a\u00a0perfect way to relate your sense of harmony. \u00a0Because copper is a living organism, it continues to subtly change and develop character- deepening in tone over time. The reds become richer, the golds more pronounced and the shades of green intensify. These qualities give copper\u00a0its significant appeal and lend to several different design styles from Rustic to\u00a0Contemporary. Since\u00a0copper is rich in\u00a0warm tones, it\u00a0draws\u00a0the viewer into a soothing and relaxing mood. Who doesn’t need more relaxing?<\/p>\n

The wall art that Mike creates is unique because\u00a0he lets the material itself guide the process. Many of the pieces have been changed by the elements and Mike simply shapes them for display using his skills with the medium. These are the pieces that encourage a slowing down and really looking into the art, like these pieces created for a hospital board room<\/strong><\/span>.<\/a><\/p>\n
