This copper water feature is backing the reception desk of the Fish Rock Grille, at the Ledges in St. George. Mike created the copper center and metal artist, Johnny Woolsey, made the steel frame that surrounds the copper. The water flows slowly down the folds of the copper, and the whole piece is lit softly. The water feature is about six feet high by five feet wide. The heavy textured copper resembles dark slate.
Another large copper water feature was made for the patio of a home at Stone Cliffs in St. George.
This one is in the process of being installed and shows the extensive work involved in creating a piece so large. The pumps are fine tuned and the features generate a sense of calm and relaxation for the homeowners and guests.
Mike has created several of these artistic water features for homes in the area and I will showcase more next week.
