The shop’s been buzzin’ this week with saws and sanders. Along with the usual Christmas orders, Mike made this little set of handmade blocks for our grandson’s first Christmas. His daddy remembers long hours of fun with the set Mike made for him years ago, and now his little boy will get to enjoy Grandpa’s gift too.
The set is made of mahogany, rubbed with olive oil. They turned out so nice. There’s only a few in this first collection, and Mike will add to them as the years go by. There will be different shapes and sizes to build grand cities and roads for long hours to come.
I’ve been busy in the toy shop too! I made this soft and snuggly Winnie the Pooh Blanket from fleece for long hours of cuddling on rainy days. (He’s getting so tall I figured he needed a bigger blanket!) I’m sending him the Winnie the Pooh video we’ve had for years too. Yes, some people do still enjoy VCRs!!
