The other night we were sitting on the couch and I picked Mike’s brain about the inspiration for this copper piece on our TV wall. I remember making a sketch for a client of 3 trees, interconnected and hanging as a group. This was part of the sample piece for that work, and the design changed, turning into a whole different project.
This was the top of one of the trees, and Mike eventually saw new possibilities for the design, weaving tamarisk branches into the strips. He mounted it on a piece of steel, and “Voila“, a beautiful piece of art was born. I love the end result, and, like so many of the pieces he brings in, I secretly hope it doesn’t sell. I love the colors and textures and the calm they give me when I walk past them.
Another example is this copper niche. Its beauty speaks for itself. I am constantly mesmerized by its simple and unique form.
It will forever hold a sacred place in my home, wherever that ends up to be.
And will be a reminder of my treasures and blessings.
It’s a treat to see the copper collections we have been able to display in our home. How do you display the things you collect?
