Custom furniture-fireplace cabinet
Custom furniture creates a distinct design statement. When we receive and order for something unique and personal to a client’s home, we give it a lot of thought and attention. Curating a collection of hand made furnishings for the home adds such a personal touch and our hope is that the pieces will live long in the space.
Mike’s been working on a fireplace surround, stunningly accented with copper, for clients who are collectors. This project has two side cabinets of alder wood, with glass inserts in the doors. I’ve been anxiously waiting for photos of the finished piece to share with you. The copper on this work of art is surfaced and patinaed with Mike’s signature colors and textures. Inspired by nature, the finish is done with heat and strong hands.

Earlier this year, the clients commissioned a bed which I shared with you here. We love it when people come back for seconds. It is the nature of art lovers to create personal collections, and being a part of the creative process is rewarding.
