I’m not even sure there is enough space in one week of blogs to include all of the different copper light sconces Mike has made through the years. This one is the heavy hammered texture; hand hammered and finished in a traditional box style.
This one is a simple, half round one but, it is the waves that he cut out using the plasma cutter that make it so unique.
Some of the sconces Mike makes are small and plain, and some are so large and ornate that they would dwarf our simple little ranch-style home.
Some of the copper light sconces are combined with my fused glass. This makes it possible for us to get some very different effects with the lights.
We sometimes include stained glass for a more traditional effect, but still unique to our own style.
This one has copper foiled stained glass in the center of individual copper tiles, and an apricot tree branch from our garden, added for accent.
We also do collaborations on more traditional copper and stained glass lighting; like these for the Four Winds Casino in Michigan.
Pendant lights in the same style were also a part of this project.
The list goes on with textural elements and ornamental embellishments; all with Mike’s signature care and creativity making his lighting selection one of the most important parts of our portfolio.
